Rowan Cabarrus Community College Library
The North Campus library of RCCC holds approximately 40,000 volumes, 4,000
Audio/Visual resources, and over 40 programs on business development, career
search, and engineering. The South Campus holds approximately 7,000 volumes
and provides access to Job Info Service, a database giving information on available
State and Government jobs. Both campuses have Internet access to NC Live, the
statewide database for all North Carolina libraries and CC LINC, a link to 40 other
community college libraries in the North Carolina system.
University of North Carolina at Charlotte — J. Murray Atkins Library
The UNC Charlotte library is by far the largest library in the piedmont area. The
recent $20.5 million, 110,000 square foot expansion has brought the total size of the
library to 280,000 square feet, the total number of volumes to 695,000, total
number of government documents to 900,000, current hardbound periodical
subscriptions to 5,000, and Networked CD-ROM’s and Databases to 117. The library
offers a wide selection of state of the art electronic tools used to access local and
worldwide resources.
