University of North Carolina at Charlotte
A doctoral/research intensive university, UNC Charlotte is composed of seven
colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences and six professional colleges —
Architecture, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Information
Technology, and Health and Human Services. The university offers more than 80
programs leading to bachelor’s degrees, over 58 master’s degree programs and 12
doctoral programs.
Central Piedmont Community College
Central Piedmont Community College is an innovative and comprehensive college
that advances the life-long educational development of students consistent with their
needs, interests, and abilities while strengthening the economic, social, and cultural
life of its diverse community. The College accomplishes this purpose by providing
high-quality, flexible pre-baccalaureate and career-focused educational programs
and services which are academically, geographically, and financially accessible.
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is an open-door, comprehensive learning centered
institution of higher education serving the citizens of Rowan and Cabarrus
counties. The primary focus of the college’s offerings is on workforce development by
meeting the educational needs of the individual and meeting the changing training
requirements of business and industrial firms as well as other employers in the
service area.
Cabarrus College of Health Science
Cabarrus College of Health Sciences is an independent, post-secondary education
institution affiliated with Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord, NC. The College
provides undergraduate health sciences education to qualified men and women from
Cabarrus and surrounding counties which results in their developing the knowledge,
attitudes and competencies to function as informed, responsible citizens and to serve
in their communities as compassionate practitioners in their chosen health discipline.
