Calling All Businesses: 2024 Cabarrus County Career Connections Day

The Chamber announced the date for this year’s Cabarrus County Career Connections (C4) Day, and your business is invited to participate!

The Chamber shared the following information and invitation for businesses:

National census data tells us that 72% of people will work and live within 25 miles of where they were born and raised. That means today’s students are your workforce of tomorrow – what are you doing to connect with them?

The Chamber, in partnership with Cabarrus County Schools, Kannapolis City Schools, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, Cabarrus County Economic Development Corp., NC Works Career Center, Cabarrus County Education Foundation, and Kannapolis Education Foundation, are hosting Cabarrus County Career Connections Day (C4 Day) on:

Wednesday, April 3 | 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Location: Cabarrus Arena and Events Center

And we need YOUR BUSINESS there!

The event is designed to educate high school juniors about the abundant careers and pathways available in Cabarrus County.

We invite Cabarrus County businesses to host booths with interactive displays and materials to discuss the various careers available within your organizations!

Businesses are encouraged to introduce students to possible career fields by sharing hands-on experiences, recruit for open positions or summer employment, help students learn about alternative paths for achieving necessary career education through community colleges and trade schools, and share information on internships and apprenticeship programs.

Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City Schools will prepare their students, so they arrive with resumes and questions for potential employers. All students must be registered through their schools to attend.

All Cabarrus County businesses are invited to participate by hosting a booth with several sizes available.

  • Single-table (6 ft.) booths are $200 and doubles are $400. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for larger displays and more marketing benefits.
  • Event set up will be on Tuesday, April 2, 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Each registered exhibitor will be associated with one or more career pathways. These pathways are predetermined by Cabarrus County Schools and Kannapolis City Schools and cannot be modified.

  • When registering, please select all of the pathways that you think your business fits in.
  • We will not be grouping businesses by pathways, but your chosen pathway(s) will be indicated on your booth for the students.
  • You can find the list of pathways here. List all that apply to your business.

All hosting proceeds will cover event expenses with remaining funds donated to CCS and KCS Career Technical Education programs to help defray student CTE competition expenses.
