Cabarrus County Welcomes EDPNC for Q3 Board Meeting at the Ten-Tenths Club
Cabarrus County welcomed leaders from across North Carolina this week as the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) held its Q3 Board Meeting in the community.

Showcasing Cabarrus County
During their visit, EDPNC board members and investors experienced several of Cabarrus County’s signature assets, including Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Heritage Center at Hendrick Motorsports. The day concluded with a reception at the Ten-Tenths Club, where guests heard remarks from North Carolina Secretary of Commerce Lee Lilley and Greg Walter, President of Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The experience offered visitors a firsthand look at the people, places and industries that have helped establish Cabarrus County as an important part of North Carolina’s economy.
From Motorsports to Advanced Manufacturing
The visit concluded Thursday with the EDPNC board meeting at Great Wolf Lodge, which featured a panel discussion on transitioning motorsports talent and expertise into defense and aerospace manufacturing.
The conversation highlighted how the specialized skills, engineering expertise, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and culture of innovation rooted in the region’s motorsports industry can translate into opportunities across other high-growth industries.
That connection represents one of Cabarrus County’s unique economic development strengths: a highly specialized industry cluster that not only supports motorsports but also provides talent and expertise with applications far beyond the racetrack.

Hosting EDPNC provided an opportunity to share the Cabarrus County story with economic development leaders from across the state while highlighting the partnerships that continue to move the community forward.
