Cabarrus County – Where Business and Community Grow and Thrive Together
This video highlights the contributions of the Cabarrus EDC and the critical role they play in our local economy’s growth and stability.
Why Cabarrus?
While Cabarrus County has deep roots in manufacturing that once supported a mighty textile industry, today those roots are producing new growth shoots in automotive, bioscience, and food production. It is a place where businesses of all kinds want to take root and the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation is tending to each of these budding enterprises to give them the best environment in which to grow and thrive. Get to know some of these businesses that are featured in this video and the services and programs they have used in our community.

“The Cabarrus EDC is instrumental in aligning community goals with those of the private sector. Its leadership has positioned Cabarrus County as a front runner in economic development. Thank you for your partnership with BGE and dedication to economic growth in our area!”
– Daniel Warwick, Sr. Project Manager, BGE, Inc.

“The partnerships we have between public, private and non-profit sectors are all extremely positive. Leaders on both sides are excited to work together, and they do it very well. Concord is a great place to live and work, and Lilly strives to make communities where we live and work better places, and for a community like Concord, this isn’t hard to do.”
– Rebecca Hammel, Sr. Director HR, Concord Lilly Manufacturing Site

“After searching at length without success for additional industrial space I contacted the Cabarrus EDC. I explained to Samantha Grass what I needed and she informed me of a 98,450 sq/ft building that was unoccupied, not on the market, but could be bought. It was perfect for what we needed and we closed in January. Thanks to Samantha and the Cabarrus EDC team, we are able to grow and add jobs in our home city/county.”
– Michael D. Biggers, Charlotte Wire & Cable Company Inc.
